We can clearly read in this narration that Umar bin Khattab said he do not approve that ruling of Hajj which was practiced by the holy Prophet. The Muslim Ummah need to think about those blessings which were granted by Allah(swt) and his Prophet to humanity which Umar bin Khattab took away those blessings from the Muslims.
We do not want to give more comments about Umar bin Khattab but we only know that anyone who stay against Allah and His prophet and change the laws of Allah for his own reasons is a very sever thing. We can just feel sorry for it.
Unbelievable Logic
Some of Sunni fellows try to clarify the case of Umar bin Khattab and mention the words of Umar bin Khattab "If we abide by the Book of Allah (we find) the Book of Allah has commanded us to complete the (Hajj and 'Umra), and if we abide by the Sunnah of Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him), we find that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) did not put off Ihram till the sacrificial animal was brought to its end (till it was sacrificed)."
This is really unbelievable. In Quran Mutta'a al Hajj is clearly mentioned Surah 2:196. Quran was revealed on the Prophet (pbuh). The Prophet ordered to do Mutta' al Hajj, even the Prophet (pbuh) got severly angry while the Companions were hesitating to perform Mutta'a al Hajj. Please read the narration.
We want to ask our Sunni fellows that did Umar bin Khattab know Quran more than the Holy Prophet?
This is true that the Prophet(pbuh) himself did not perform Mutta'a al Hajj himself, the Prophet himself told the reason he explained
“I can not perform Mutta'a al Hajj I have brought the animal for sacrifice from Medina. I can not take away the IHRAM until I sacrify the animal but those who do not have the animal must perform Mutta'al Hajj.”
Please read the narrations by Ibn Abbas that Mutta'al Hajj is the Sunnah of the Prophet because the Prophet ordered it.
Here is the link, Narration of Ibn e Abbas.
Sometimes Sunni fellows try to defend Umar bin Khattab by saying that they have narration in Sahih Muslim that Abu Dhar (ra) said Mutta' al Hajj was only specified for the Companions of the Prophet!
We want to inform those fellows that the narration of Abu Dhar contradicts with the Holy Quran (2:196), Imam Ali argued with the third Caliph Uthman about Mutta'al Hajj, Narration by Imran bin Hossien also testifies that Mutta' al Hajj is forever. .
We have also shared the narrations by Iban e Abbas that Mutta'a al Hajj is until the Day of Judgement, even we consider the narration of Abu Dhar as the true ruling of Islam that Mutta'a al Hajj only specified for the Companions. We can see that Umar bin Khattab did not allow the Companions of the Prophet to perform Muatta'a al Hajj!
Umar bin Khattab did not say this that Mutta'a al Hajj was only for the Companions. Umar bin Khattab gave his own reason that he don't want to see the water tickling down from the heads of the people at the occasion of Hajj.
